About the Author

Laurence Wilson, JD, AAML, has been a practicing divorce lawyer, mediator, collaborative attorney, private judge, and superior court judge pro tempore in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1975. During that time, he has helped more than 4,000 couples with their divorces.

Larry was elected to fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in the early 1980s, cofounded San Francisco’s first collaborative divorce group in the early 1990s, and has been selected as a Northern California Family Law Super Lawyer every year since 2006. He has written and presented specialty continuing education family law programs to countless California divorce lawyers for more than four decades.

Larry and his wife, Morli, married for forty-eight years, live in Northern California.
